Come to the German Club on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. for the Super Bowl party, limited to 32 people by reservation only (702-649-8503). The game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs kicks off at 3:30 p.m., and it figures to be a barnburner matching future Hall of Fame QB Tom Brady in this 10th Super Bowl (six winners) against QB Patrick Mahomes, who was last year's Super Bowl MVP and the league's 2018 MVP. So come early, load up on Super Bowl contest squares and enjoy the game on our big-screen TVs. As always, refreshments will be served. Bring a potluck dish if you can.

We are open under the following COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines: - 25% occupancy limit (32 people not counting workers) -No more than 4 people per table -Everyone must wear a mask unless sitting at table eating and drinking -Wash hands/sanitize frequently This isn't the German club's policy. This is the current government mandate, so don't argue with the cooks or bartender when they remind you to wear your mask. We have already been inspected once due to a complaint filed with the City of North Las Vegas that we were not in compliance. A city official inspected us and found that we were following the current mandates. So when someone reminds you to wear your mask properly or to put it on, don't make a scene and complain about it. We're trying to keep the club operational as we still have to pay bills, even when closed. Please be courteous when reminded to follow the guidelines as Big Brother could ring the doorbell at any time and inspect us again. This is the world we currently live in. The German-American Social Club of Nevada is opening at 25 percent capacity on Friday, Jan. 8, for card night (5-9 p.m.) and Saturday, Jan. 9, for dinner at 6 p.m. Cooks are needed. Continue to check Facebook and our website for updates and further events in January. There will be no January newsletter. A monthly calendar will be posted when it's completed. |
