"Krampus, whose name is derived from the German word krampen, meaning claw, is said to be the son of Hel in Norse mythology. "

"A more modern take on the tradition in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic involves drunken men dressed as devils, who take over the streets for a Krampuslauf—a Krampus Run of sorts, when people are chased through the streets by the "devils.""

Children’s Christmas Party

Children’s Christmas Party
Sunday December 20th
2 PM to 5 PM

If you are a member of GASCON you are invited to bring your children or grandchildren
(limit 10 years old) to the Children's Christmas Party at the Club.
There will be refreshments, entertainment by Charlie the Clown and Santa Claus
who will bring a gift for each child 10 or younger.
If you would like to bring a gift for a child that would like to attend but is older,
you are welcome to do so !

Children that sing a song, recite a dance or a poem
will get a ticket for a Special Raffle!

Bowman-Clark Memorial Golf Tournament

Everyone had a great time at our annual memorial outing and Bowman-Clark Memorial Golf Tournament. It seemed like 3 days packed into 2. Thanks to all that made this outing a success. This year we added a Putting Contest to honor and remember Ken Grabrik who passed earlier this year. Thanks to Mary Kay Gabrik and Joanne Milton for the success of this now annual event in Ken's name. Other members we remembered were:
