The German-American Social Club of Nevada is organized as a private membership association. However, people from the community are always welcome to join in our many activities. We encourage people to stop and chat, learn about our history, our organization, and our various cultural activity groups. It is part of our mission to share our goals and to educate those that want to be a part of this unique, extended family. German family lineage is not required. However, as part of our state and local licensing, non-members are considered visitors and they are required to sign our "Guest Register" when entering. The Register is usually just inside our front-door. To foster visitors, certain hours each week are scheduled specifically to receive the public, and members are always present to answer questions and provide facility tours. Often you will see an "Open House" banner during such hours and the banner will encourage stop-in guests. Additionally, certain annual cultural and food events we hold are open to the public, like "Oktoberfest" and "Maifest". These large events, which often include the sale of traditional meals, are held after an approved temporary food sales permit is issued by the Southern Nevada Public Health Department. These multi-day fairs/activities are open to the public, and signing the Guest Register is not required. Currently, we have about 235 members and the number is consistently growing. Membership dues expire annually on June 30th for all members. Association renewal dues are $35 and about 85-90% of our members elect to renew their service each year. After a few visits, if you find that you enjoy our cultural preservation and social sharing activities, we encourage you to request an application form and become a member of our Association.
