Monk and the Po' Boys play their harmonica-based blues on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 6-9 p.m., at the German-American Club. They cover a unique selection of songs by blues legends such as Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters, Little Walter and Blind Willie Johnson. Drinks are cheap, with light event food platters for sale. It's a great ambience and the most intimate venue in Las Vegas to hear the blues! The doors open at 5:30, music starts at 6:00 and continues to 9:00 p.m. with a few breaks for announcements. All guests have a front row seat to enjoy their energetic and expressive play. Las Vegas "Blues" fans are welcomed to this early evening performance as our guests. The hard, grinding rhythms of German Industrial Music has a 50 year history of iconic, underground, and culture challenging themes. The German American Club hosts two Friday nights a month for younger members, guests, and visitor fans of this genre. Members of the Club host late hours of Industrial music for dancers and for casual fans. DJ Duane and DJ Thomas (DJ's Kounter-Attack) provide the appropriate set-up and amplified EBM tracks. The German American Social Club of Nevada has a primary mission of cultural preservation and presentation. For this reason, the Club is a long-time financial sponsor of the Las Vegas German Show, hosted each Sunday on Radio station KSHP, 1400 AM from 10-12pm. The show features traditional and contemporary German music, with segments on World Soccer, News, History and German Club information. The show host, Silvia Brunn, is long time member, and she has completed over 1,100 weekly broadcasts. To share this music treasure, the Club is open to members and guests each Sunday from 10:00-12:30 to allow for shared listening over the house audio system. There are light pastry, fruit and coffee, available. Donations accepted. The Walk-Up/Sit Down Copper Top Bar is Always Open. All Guests at music events must sign our Register. Latin Groove
Sal Santiago, an established vocal and musical performer in the Las Vegas valley brings his personal show to the German Club on the second Tuesday of each month 6-9 p.m. The show is lively and includes all of the color and character that Sal delivers in his music. Requested Door Donation is $10 for his entertainment and his monthly party. |
