After 6 months of ordering pandemic restrictions, Gov. Sisolak allowed bars to reopen Sept. 21, which means we're back in business at the German-American Club. We're starting with card night on Sept. 25 and brat dinner with entertainment on Sept. 26. Limited to 50 members by reservation only. In other news, about 20 hard-working members dismantled the sheds and cleaned up the fire damage caused by transients who occupied our property during the shutdown.

As if the coronavirus pandemic shutting down the club wasn't bad enough, we have to endure the passing of Erika Gries (center), club member since 1986 and "driving force" at the club, one member noted. We're not sure when we'll be able to reopen, but one of the first gatherings will be a memorial for Erika and Rita Taschner, who also passed during the pandemic. Let's pray for brighter days ahead. ![]() |
