Tuesday Bluesday continues with its third monthly installment at the German-American Club on Tuesday, April 19, 6-9 p.m., with harmonica-based blues band Monk and the Po' Boys. Free admission, cheap drinks and Jesse is cooking his famous Santa Maria-style tri-tip sandwiches for $8.
After a 2-year hiatus from Tuesday night jazz due to the pandemic, we're going to launch a blues jam Tuesday, Feb. 15, 6-9 p.m. with Las Vegas-based Monk and the Po' Boys. Cheap drinks, tri-tip sandwiches for sale, free admission, membership not required. We hope to make it a monthly event.
Due to the recent surge in coronavirus cases, the Clark County Commission requires that masks be worn at all public indoor spaces, unless you're eating or drinking, until further notice. This follows a recommendation issued by the Southern Nevada Health District that all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear masks in crowded indoor public places including casinos, grocery stores, malls and at large events.
Come on down to the German-American Club, 1110 E. Lake Mead Blvd., this Friday, 5-10 p.m., and Saturday, 3-10 p.m., and help us celebrate Maifest, a German tradition of welcoming spring. It has become a popular celebration around the world, similar to Oktoberfest, a time to toast to good friends, imported German beer and authentic German food. The German-American Club dance group will perform the dance around the maypole at 7 p.m. each night, followed by traditional German dance at 8 p.m. We also have live music, a raffle drawing and the best schnitzel in town. No charge for admission and parking is free.
