It is with heavy heart that we made a unanimous decision to shut down the club for the remainder of 2020. All Christmas parties have been canceled starting with holiday decorating on Nov. 28. We are scheduled to reopen on Jan. 8.

In light of Gov. Steve Sisolak's directives issued earlier this week, the German-American Club will remain open, though scheduled events are subject to change. For example, Bavarian night (Nov. 21) has been postponed due to personal reasons for our cook, Silvia (pictured below). Those with prepaid reservations can request a refund or apply the payment to the tentative rescheduled date of Jan. 23. Chris has offered instead to make beef burgundy for Nov. 21, and the price will remain $15 for an excellent winter meal.
The golf tournament will be played Nov. 14, but awards and raffle prizes will be given on the course. Pork roast dinner by Art is still on at the club. We are cancelling live entertainment for the remainder of the year.
If you're not feeling well, please stay home. If you want to support the club, we are offering dinners for pick-up. Continue to visit our Facebook page and website for further updates.
"It may be slower than normal for the next couple of weeks, but I would rather the club make some money than spend $600 a week being totally closed," President Gary Blanton said.
